After testing 150 households. The website provides recommendations to help consumers choose products that are safe for their gardens and the broader environment.

It is a great site for calculating your needs when it comes to best water usage, grey, mains or or rain.  Grey water management systems, garden design and facts and figures and costs associated with recycling and grey water.

There is a section proving advice to plumbers in design and installing greywater recycling systems.

Declaration introduction.


The sustainability declaration,  passed through parliament , is due to be implemented on 1 January 2010,

Environmental construction is leading the way.  Included in this revolution is recycling.

What makes the recycled home more interesting? Is it the story behind the products.The shape, the age the texture.  A lot of recycled timber users have a love of the story behind the secondhand timber. Is it from a woolshed, the beams from a ship or warehouse.How was it milled and where? 

All these questions add to the excitement beauty. Adding to the knowledge that what you are creating has a history, that will continue.

SPECIAL SCREENING: The Burning Season

The Institute is joining forces with Voiceless for a special screening of the new documentary. The Burning Season at the University of Technology, Sydney.
This screening will raisefunds for the Nyaru Menteng Orangutan Sanctuary in
Kalimantan, IndonesianBorneo to provide resources for the sanctuary to continue
its good work rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing orangutans. The funds will also go
toward purchasing land for safe release sites.
